What’s New in our Milwaukee Orthodontic Offices?

New high-tech, state-of-the-art equipment!

We recently purchased a Kodak 9000 C3-D x-ray machine. This is the latest in cutting edge technology that has the dental world excited. Essentially, it is a CAT Scan for the jaws. It gives us “Superman-like x-ray vision” to see the teeth and jaws from any angle! Being able to rotate the image of the teeth and jaws 360* is very helpful in challenging cases especially when there are extra teeth [supernumerary teeth], impacted teeth, cysts in the jaw, or other abnormalities. In complicated treatment, traditional x-rays often don't provide enough diagnostic information.

While most offices do not have such a piece of equipment, we have already experienced it’s advantages in the short period of time that we have had it.  And, coming soon...Invisalign will be using similar 3-dimensional scanning devices to speed up the entire Invisalign process (which all patients appreciate, especially adults)!

Virtual Private Network {VPN}!

To serve our patients better & keep our overhead costs down, we recently created our own private internet network. This affords us more security for our patients records, less chance of losing data and faster communication between our offices. It enables all the doctors to consult with each other on cases instantaneously without having to resort to “meetings” which can be difficult to schedule. Also, patient access to account and appointment information is enhanced. In short, communication is vastly improved. This helps cut down on our office overhead and these cost-cutting measures help keep our fees low!

INVISALIGN for Adults AND Teens!

At Dr. Bubon and Associates, we are fast becoming one of the pre-eminent “Invisalign” providers in the Greater Milwaukee area. What’s more, whereas Invisalign used to be just for adults, it is now also available for teens [who, btw often misspell it when they text or e-mail us as “Invisaline” or ” Invisilign”—no “spell-checker” for proper names]! This allows the self-conscious high school person to get their teeth straight without worrying about wearing braces at the junior or senior prom! The cost of Teen Invisalign may or may not be as expensive as traditional braces.
